Rails and Stiles

• Structural wood core consisting of three or more alternating grain blocks glued together and dried to optimum moisture content then clad on all sides with the selected hardwood species.

• This construction will withstand the extreme service environment of an exterior door with significantly less risk of warpage than one-piece rails and stiles. 

• Panels in exterior doors are laminated from solid hardwood and structural plywood core to provide enhanced thermal performance and to eliminate the risk of cracking through.

• Panels in interior doors are typically solid hardwood, but veneer may be used when special effects are desired.

• The Door Stop entry systems are hand crafted from solid wood using traditional craftsmanship and modern wood engineering. 

• Your door can be constructed from virtually any species of hardwood. Choose from the classics like oak, alder, fir and mahogany, or the exotics like zebrawood and purpleheart.  Only premium quality kiln dried woods are used. 

• Each door is custom designed and built. You can choose from the thousands of designs on file, or bring your own sketch or photograph. 

• We offer a multitude of glass options for your door, sidelights and transoms including Simulated Divided Lite (SDL, True Divided Lite (TDL), textured art glass, and hand made camed and stained glass - all this in an energy efficient sealed assembly. 

• In addition to the many wood options, we can also supply aluminum cladding in standard and custom colors.

• All entry systems from The Door Stop are fully shop assembled with your choice of hinges and the finest weather sealing materials. Shop staining and finishing are available. 

• For renovations we also offer "slab only" doors and sidelites in any style to fit your existing jambs.
